The Year of the Rabbit arrived at the Academy of Christian Education. " '你好' nǐ hǎo," the Chinese Mandarin word for hello echoed through the hallways as students, staff and parents arrived in colorful traditional Chinese clothing.
The school was decorated for the Chinese New Year as students celebrated this International event with food, games, origami, story telling, kirigami and educational presentations from parents, teachers and local artists.
Mr. Xiaoliang Zhao patiently taught the students the history and beauty of calligraphy, while helping the students form the delicate letters. Ms. Youyan Wu presented a wonderful musical instruction time for the children using the Guzheng, a Chinese zither instrument.
