Armed Robbery at South Lakes Sunoco in Reston: Police
Police say a man displayed a handgun and then fled the gas station with an undisclosed amount of cash.

RESTON, VA — A helicopter circled overhead and police cars were everywhere on South Lakes Drive Monday night after police say a man robbed a gas station and then escaped on foot.
Police responded to the Sunoco gas station located at 11190 South Lakes Drive in Reston at around 8 p.m. to a report of an armed robbery, Fairfax County Police Pfc. Monica Meeks said.
"A man walked into a gas station, displayed a handgun, demanded cash from the clerk, and he left with an undisclosed amount of money," Meeks said.

The man then went to the rear of the store on foot, and the helicopter scanned the area for him but police have so far been unable to find him.
