Australian Fitness Studio F45 Training Coming To Reston

RESTON, VA --F45 Training, the Australian fitness franchise, will be opening three locations in Northern Virginia in 2020 — two in Reston and one in South Riding.

With 1,800 studios across the globe in more than 42 countries, F45 Training is one of the fastest growing fitness franchises around the world. The company's workout is based on the concept of trainer-facilitated, 45-minute group classes.

"One of the unique features about this concept in particular is it integrates both a high-intensity interval training concept compacted into a 45-minute class in a group-fitness concept," said Tariq Mojadidi, manager for F45's Reston and South Riding studios. "It has no mirrors. There's no ego involved and it uses a high-tech concept of using TVs and unique workouts."

New customers start out by downloading the F45 app and then book a class. In a typical training session, trainers will first give a demonstration of every workout that's going to be done in class. That's followed by a warmup, with the TV screens at the front of the studio showing ever exercise.

"A lot of times people have difficulty in group classes whereby there's an instructor up in front and they're trying to replicate that motion, which leads to injury," Mojadidi said. "It leads to people doing their exercises incorrectly, not be able to keep up. Our trainers are on the floor going around helping people with their posture, helping people to keep the class motivated. We want to offer that personal trainer experience in a group setting whereby people can get that personal attention that they need to help them grow and meet their fitness goals."

F45 offers a free one-week trial in addition to regular monthly membership packages.

"We typically encourage our members just to go month-to-month,"Mojadidi said. "If you need to freeze your membership, if you're traveling or you're in the services and are going to be deployed, you can freeze that for a period of time as well. We don't have cancellation fees. We just need a two-week notice and your membership gets canceled."

F45 Training will be opening its three new Northern Virginia studios later this year at the following locations:

"We're not trying to replicate the big box gyms of having a thousand members that none of them show up and everybody's paying their fees," Mojadidi said. "We want our members to be in the studio every day or as many days as possible, active and build a community around that."
