BeBe Nguyen, who has served for more than a decade as RCC's director of communications, stepped into a new leadership role on Monday.

RESTON, VA — As of Monday, the Reston Community Center has a new deputy director.
BeBe Nguyen, who has served as RCC's director of communications for more than a decade, stepped into the position vacated by former deputy director John Blevins, who left RCC for a new job with Prince William County. In her previous role, Nguyen oversaw many complex campaigns for RCC events and partnerships, as well as community-wide initiatives. She is also overseeing the replacement of the RCC's website.
“BeBe’s deep understanding and dedication to Reston’s values have positioned her for this significant leadership role at RCC,” said RCC Board Chair Bev Cosham, in a release. “The board knows BeBe’s work and commitment to equity, and we are confident she will continue to advance our strategic plan goals effectively in partnership with Executive Director Leila Gordon.”

In addition to holding a masters of public administration from George Mason University, Nguyen also serves as part of Fairfax County’s One Fairfax Equity Ambassador Corps. As RCC's equity lead in charge of implementing the One Fairfax Policy, Nguyen is responsible for ensuring that equity is intentionally considered when making policy or providing programs and services.
