Black Friday 2022 Mall Hours: When Malls Near Reston Will Be Open

RESTON, VA — After Thanksgiving, holiday shopping season commences with Black Friday sales at stores around the U.S.

Black Friday will be the start of deals continuing through the weekend and into Cyber Monday. A record 166.3 million people in the U.S. could shop through the Thanksgiving holiday weekend into Cyber Monday, according to the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics. That's the highest number since the National Retail Federation began estimating these numbers in 2017.

The impacts of inflation will motivate consumers' holiday shopping habits this year, according to BlackFriday.com, a site sharing Black Friday deals. The website surveyed 1,000 shoppers in the U.S. finding 70 percent will factor in inflation when shopping for holiday gifts and 77 percent will look for deals on particular items.
