RESTON, VA -- A man is under arrest for assaulting a firefighter after he was found "bleeding and stumbling" around Reston Town Center over the weekend and taken to the hospital, where he then became violent, police say.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue brought the patient from Reston Town Center to Reston Hospital at 1850 Town Center Parkway at around 9:40 p.m. on May 12, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

"Once at the hospital the patient started fighting hospital staff and Fire and Rescue personnel," the report states. "When officers got to the ER, the man was restrained on the floor, and one of the firefighters reported being assaulted by the man."
