Body Found in Potomac Not Believed to Be Missing Swimmer
Montgomery County authorities say a man's body found near the Carderock recreation area is likely not a Reston man last seen June 3.

A man’s body pulled from the Potomac River near the Carderock recreation area Sunday afternoon is not a missing Reston, VA, swimmer, authorities said.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services Spokesperson Pete Piringer said the man found near the rock-climbing is unlikely to be the swimmer reported missing June 3.

Montgomery County police said that the missing man is Marco Reyes-Sanchez, 21, of Reston, Va.

Two swimmers in their 20s entered the river from the Virginia shoreline near Sandy Landing on June 3. One man came out of the river, while Reyes-Sanchez has been missing since then and is presumed drowned.
Organized searches to find the body of Reyes-Sanchez ended a week ago, authorities said, although workers in the area will keep an eye out for him.
No other information has been released so far on who the victim found Sunday night be.
