GREAT FALLS, VA — Fairfax County Police confirmed that the body of 61-year-old Ganesh Chandrabhata was found last weekend on the shore of the Potomac River in Prince George's County, Maryland, according to a post on the department's official Twitter account.

Chandrabhata was last seen on Sept. 2 in the area of River Bend Park in Great Falls.

Detectives from FCPD's Major Crimes Bureau are continuing to investigate Ganesh's death.
