Boston Properties' PR Firm Handling Reston Paid Parking Has Stepped Aside
Fallston Group had represented Boston Properties at the height of public consternation over paid parking at Reston Town Center.

RESTON, VA — The public relations firm that took over messaging for Reston Town Center manager Boston Properties during the implementation of paid parking and ParkRTC will no longer represent the developer.
Kathy Walsh, a spokesman for the Fallston Group, said that they have been informed by Boston Properties that Myers Public Relations will be taking over as the agency of record for paid parking issues.
"Fallston Group was engaged by Boston Properties to specifically support them with the paid parking issue," Walsh said in an email. "Our work has been completed so it only makes sense to transition future media requests to Myers as they've had a long-term relationship with Boston Properties. Consistent with our broad client base, we'll be available to support Boston Properties in the future if needed. We are grateful for their continued trust and confidence in our team."

Fallston Group handled all of the fallout from the implementation of paid parking back in January, a move that was greeted by a significant amount of negative reaction from the community. Boston Properties announced in late May that paid parking hours would be scaled back, but not eliminated.
