Reston Farmers Market Opens Saturday

The Reston Farmers Market opens its 16th season at Lake Anne this week. Exciting new vendors include fresh seafood, certified organic fruits and veggies, soft ice cream, and fresh milk!

The Reston Farmers Market at Lake Anne opens its 16th season this Saturday with its biggest selection of fresh, local foods ever! 

Sponsored by the Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA), the Reston Farmers Market at Lake Anne opens at 8 a.m. and will feature 28 vendors.

Seafood will be sold for the first time in Reston or anywhere in Fairfax County
markets.  Arnest Seafood of Hague, VA joins the market family and will sell
fresh and packaged blue crab and oysters as well as fresh fish from the
Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.

Another new vendor, The Farm at Sunnyside near Little Washington, VA, is our first USDA-certified organic producer and offers a wide selection of fresh vegetables and fruits.  Also, joining the Market this year is Cool Lawn Farm of Remington, VA selling soft Moo Thru ice cream and fresh milk from its own dairy herd.

ongtime favorite vendors are returning, including 11 fruit and vegetable farmers, and vendors offering flowers and plants, all kinds of fresh meats (bison, beef, pork, lamb, occasional rabbit and goat), cow and goat cheeses, a wide array of fresh baked goods, honey products, fresh pickles, and Kettle Corn.
