Cab Driver Assaulted, Robbed in Reston

Police are looking for a couple who stiffed a cab driver and then got violent shortly after.

RESTON, VA — A couple in Reston stiffed a cab driver, who tried to follow them but ended up being assaulted and robbed, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police say a cab driver transported a man and a woman to the 12000 block of Greywing Square at around 1:22 a.m. on Nov. 20, but the couple got out and left the scene without paying, prompting the driver to start following them.

"The victim was then assaulted by the suspects," the report states. "The suspects also took property and fled."

The cab driver had to be sent to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Police were unable to immediately track down the suspects, and are asking for the public's help in identifying them.

The report states: "The male suspect was described as Hispanic, about 24 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall, and with short hair. He was wearing jeans and a brown shirt. The female suspect was described as Hispanic, about 21 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall, and with long hair. She was wearing a black jacket, dark shirt, and jeans."
