Learn practical self-defense at OSMA in Herndon, VA on April 2nd, 2026 using concepts based on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), with beginner-friendly instruction focused on real-world positions and submissions.

Drop-in fee for non-members is $20 and can be paid on-site.

This class starts at 6:00 PM and ends at 7:30 PM.

Training emphasizes foundational BJJ concepts, including positional control, escapes, and high-percentage submissions.

No prior experience is required.

Instruction is paced for beginners, with an emphasis on safety, understanding, and building confidence on the mat.

This is a no-gi class focused on practical self-defense without the traditional uniform.

If you’re new, comfortable workout attire such as a T-shirt and athletic shorts is recommended.

This adult class is suitable for ages 16 and up.
