MindShift Gym is a welcoming community focused on helping people of all ages and abilities connect to the importance of movement at every stage of their well-being journey.Have you ever wanted to run away to the circus?&nbsp;Join our intro to aerial silks class and get a taste of the magic! We will learn the foundations of aerial silks like climbing, inverting, conditioning, and fun poses.
As children, we move playfully, free from constraints and concerns. But as adults, our movement often becomes a series of goal-based checkboxes, and we lose sight of the simple joy that moving brings to our lives. To break that cycle, we offer fun, novel activities that encourage every body to find movement that fits their abilities and rekindles that joy in their daily lives.

Hammock Yoga, also known as Aerial Yoga, is a Yoga practice that uses a short hammock apparatus as the main prop. This unique prop is used throughout the class to make poses more accessible, allow deeper expression of poses, add an optional challenge, or provide a pose expression that isn't possible on the ground. This Vin-Hatha class combines the with-the-breath flows of Vinyasa and longer pose explorations of Hatha to deliver the best of both worlds. ** No previous experience in yoga or aerial arts is required. The local Reston/Herndon cluster will be hosting a celebration of July 4th 2:00-4:00pm at Floris United Methodist Church. The event will begin with a civic ritual created by a multi-faith group of congregations, which includes a review of our local history, songs, poetry, quotations from famous American documents, and an opportunity for each participant to express their hopes for America’s future.&nbsp; Then, we will gather for creative arts, service projects, activities, and opportunities to build up local civic life. This is our community’s way to mark this momentous national milestone. Swiftie Strings Summer Camp is a fun-filled week for beginner and intermediate violin, viola, and cello students who love Taylor Swift's music. Campers will learn and perform string arrangements inspired by Taylor Swift songs while making new friends and building confidence as musicians. Throughout the week, students will rehearse together, participate in music games and activities, create friendship bracelets, and prepare for a special performance for family and friends at the end of camp. No experience is necessary, and rental instruments are available for beginners.
