Candlelight Vigil for Robert E. Simon
Friday, Sept 25 - 6:45pm - Lake Anne Plaza - Performance by Reston Chorale - Celebrate Bob Simon's life with the Reston community.
There will be a simple ‘Candlelight Vigil’ held on Friday eve, September 25 for Robert E. Simon, founder of Reston beginning at 6:45pm in Lake Anne Plaza. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Pastor Tim Ward will lead as we share our memories and mourn the loss of a great man we loved and admired. Reston Chorale will perform. The first 300 to arrive will receive a vigil candle. Though this is not a Reston sponsored event, we hope this informal, grassroots gathering will give the Reston community an opportunity to come together during a time of sadness. Overflow parking is available at United Christian Parish on N. Shore Drive. You can also follow the Reston Multicultural signs directing you to additional parking. FREE EVENT
