Celebrate Fairfax County First Responders at Reston Library

Reston Regional Library is holding a celebration of first responders, giving families a chance to meet the people who handle emergencies.

RESTON, VA — Reston Regional Library is holding a celebration of first responders on Saturday, April 2, giving families a chance to meet the people who handle emergency situations. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Members of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department will be at the library to showcase the equipment they use to respond to emergencies and speak with residents.

Officials with the U.S. National Response Team also will be at the library to talk about their jobs. The National Response Team provides assistance with emergencies involving hazardous substances, pollutants and contaminants, oil, and weapons of mass destruction.
