Chalk on the Water: Lake Anne Chalk Festival This Weekend
Cash and prizes will be awarded in several categories at 2015 festival at Lake Anne Plaza in Reston.
The Initiative for Public Art is the 2015 Lake Anne Chalk Festival this weekend. The two-day street-painting festival takes place on Lake Anne Plaza in Reston, where participants will create amazing sidewalk art. This event is fun for the whole family.
The event takes place Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There are three categories and families are welcome to participate in each. Cash and prizes will be awarded in each category:

Elementary
- First place: $50
- Second place: $25
- Third place: $10
Junior and Senior High School
- First place: $150
- Second place: $75
- Third place: $25
Professional Artist
- First place: $1000
- Second place: $350
- Third place: $200
Registration and fees for a square:
- $5 to $10 for adults and families
- $15 for professional artists
