Patch Shares The Academic Achievements Of College Students From The Reston Area

Patch recognizes college students from the Reston area who have excelled academically or recently graduated from their schools.

RESTON, VA — To shine a light on the academic achievements of college students from Reston, Patch shares information provided the students' families and Merit News.

The following students at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio were named to the fall 2021 College of Arts and Sciences dean's list:

  • Aidan Rodriguez of Reston
  • Cameron Rodriguez of Reston

Emerson College student Matthew Guerber of Reston participated in Emerson Stage's production of "As You Like." The play was presented Feb. 17-20 in the Semel Theater at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. Guerber is majoring in theatre and is a member of the class of 2025.

The following students were named to the dean's list for the fall 2021 semester at Radford University, in Radford, Virginia:

  • Hannah Kubisch, an interdisciplinary studies major from Reston
  • Nicholas Castillo, Marketing major from Reston

To earn a spot on Radford's dean's list, a student must have 12 semester hours of coursework graded A-F and maintain a GPA's of at least 3.4.

The following local students made the dean's list at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York for the fall 2021 semester:

  • Zaher Asad of Reston, who is in the computing and information technologies program.
  • Peter Stluka of Reston, who is in the mechanical engineering program.

Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for RIT's dean's list by taking 12 or more credit hours and maintaining a 3.4 grade point average or above.
