Commons Fast-Casual Coffee Shop, Restaurant Opening Soon In Reston

RESTON, VA — Usman and Hanna Saleem, who own eight fast-casual restaurants and coffee shops in the Washington, D.C. area, plan to open a new location just outside Reston Town Center.

On Thursday, the Saleems cut the ribbon on The Commons Fooderie, which is located at 3955 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 107, in Fairfax City. The restaurant has been officially open since Jan. 22.

Usman Saleem told Patch that the new location they will be opening in about four weeks in Reston will be similar to their Fairfax City restaurant, which specializes in coffee and freshly made sandwiches and wraps.

"The clientele is a little bit different, because there's more business there, but similar," he told Patch on Thursday. "The menu will be the same, minus the fried food. We don't have fried foods because there's no fryers."

The Saleems' new restaurant in Reston will be located in the Bechtel building at 12011 Sunset Hills Road.
