Cornerstones To Host Free Class For First-Time Homebuyers On Sunday
Cornerstones, which assists Fairfax County residents find housing, is offering a free class on Sunday to help first-time homebuyers.
RESTON, VA — Cornerstones knows that buying a home for the first time can be a daunting experience. Part of the nonprofit's mission is to help residents in Northwestern Fairfax County find housing, which is why it is offering a free class to assist first-time homebuyers.
The class will take place from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., on Sunday, at 1086 Elden St., Herndon, Virginia 20170. Registration is required. Signup online at VirginiaHousing.com/FindAClass.
The class will cover a variety of topics of interest for first-time homebuyers, including personal finance, managing credit, and the role of the lender in purchasing a home.

Class members will also learn how to work with a real estate agency, what goes into a home inspection, and what to expect on closing day.
This class was developed and will be led by Cornerstones Housing Counseling team and Virginia Housing.
