Cubicle Fire Erupts At Reston Office Building (Video)

No one was injured in the fire, which was contained by the sprinkler system, and authorities are investigating the cause.

RESTON, VA — A cubicle fire broke out at an office building in Reston on Sunday.

Firefighters responded to the 12000 block of Sunset Hills Road due to a report of a fire alarm in a commercial building. Upon inspection, they discovered a working fire in a cubicle on the 11th floor, Fairfax County Deputy Fire Chief Dan Shaw said in a video update posted on Twitter.

Shaw said the fire was contained by the sprinkler system that had successfully activated. During the investigation, firefighters activated a second alarm to request additional help.

Firefighters spent the rest of Sunday attempting to remove smoke from the structure so it could be returned back to the control of the owners.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
