Drunk Reston Man Carrying a Gun Arrested After Crashing Motorcycle: Police

Police say the 30-year-old man was driving in the Sterling area when he crashed his motorcycle.

A Reston man was arrested in Sterling over the weekend after police say he got drunk and crashed his motorcycle, all while carrying a firearm.

Police were called to the 24800 block of Evergreen Mills Road in Sterling at around noon on Jan. 20 to a report of a crashed motorcyclist.

A Loudoun County sheriff's deputy arrested James E. Basham, 30, of Reston and charged him with DUI and carrying a firearm while being intoxicated, according to a report from the sheriff's office.
