The Early Word on Barcelona Wine Bar in Reston

The highly anticipated Barcelona Restaurant & Wine Bar has been open now at Reston Town Center, for nearly two months, and the reviews are pouring in — 44 so far on Yelp — with an overall rating of 4 stars (out of five).

Most people understand that new businesses — and restaurants especially — need time to get the kinks out. From the reviews, it appears customers are happy (although we did see a few mentions of the restaurant being a little on the loud side and tables being somewhat close together).

With that in mind, here’s a look at what customers are saying already, just two months in:

• Food: “The Warm Hazelnut Indulgence was also spot-on. It came with what tasted like a raspberry sauce. It is now MY favorite restaurant.” Ella, 9, via Neal K. ”The lamb belly, hanger steak, and empanadas are awesome,” says Cristina V.
• Service: “For a venue only open for a few weeks, the training and professionalism of the entire staff were superb,” says Jeffrey R. ”Our server, Jerry, was awesome. Very friendly and attentive,” says Sapna B.
• Decor: “The decor was warm and inviting the music was just loud enough to be comfortable background music. The lighting was perfect. You would think you were in a high end restaurant in NYC or SF,” says Foodie C.
