Election Day 2016 in Reston: Where to Vote, What to Bring, Hours, Sample Ballot

RESTON, VA — Election Day 2016 is almost upon us. Are you ready to vote in Reston? Here's everything you need to know before going to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 8.
Polling locations: Everyone has their own polling location depending on the precinct in which they reside. To find out yours, visit the Virginia Department of Elections voter information website here. Enter your first name, last name, date of birth and the last four digits of your social security number, and then choose "Fairfax County" in the dropdown menu. Check the box, and then click "Find."

On the next page, click on the "Polling Place" dropdown menu, and it will show the name of the facility in which you will cast your vote, the facility's address and other additional information.
Voting hours: 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

What to bring: All Virginia voters are required to bring at least one of the following forms of photo voter ID to vote on Election Day. All IDs must be current.
- A Virginia driver’s license or Photo IDA Veteran’s ID from the Virginia DMV
- US Military ID
- A US Passport or Passport Card
- A student photo ID issued by any institution of higher education or any private school in Virginia
- A Virginia photo voter ID obtained from a local general registrar’s office
- Another photo ID issued by the federal government, Virginia, or a local body of Virginia government
- An employee photo ID issued by your employer
- Tribal enrollment or other tribal ID if issued by one of 11 tribes recognized by Virginia
- Nursing home resident ID if issued by a government facility
