Be a part of Colvin Run Mill’s 200th anniversary celebration on Sunday, April 10, 2011, from noon to 3 p.m.
During this first grind of the year, watch as the miller harnesses the power of the 20-foot wooden waterwheel to run the grinding stones and sample delicious cornmeal baked into muffins.
There’ll be fun for the whole family – enjoy free tours of the mill and miller’s house, march alongside costumed military re-enactors, try your hand at corn shelling and grinding, see the blacksmith fire up the forge, play old-fashioned games, and take your turn at chores.
