10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Community Service Projects - Projects will include making lunches for the Embry Rucker Shelter, sorting donations for the nonprofit thrift shop The Closet, and weather permitting, removing invasive plant species, marking storm drains, and cleaning up trash. The shuttle bus will take volunteers to and from Southgate CC for the projects there.

10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Especially for Youth - Children will rotate through a series of activities including games, storytelling/performance, and arts and crafts. All activities will be based on the history of Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement.

Following the daytime events and community service projects, Nnenna Freelon will perform on RCC’s the CenterStage at 8:00 p.m.
Members of the South Lakes High School Chorus will join Ms. Freelon on stage for one memorable number.
