Exercises That Help Lower Your Stress

You can see that I have been spending much more time talking about health-based exercises and how they can help reduce stress. Reducing stress is the number one challenge I see facing most of my clients and friends.

So much of exercise participation now surrounds losing weight. But attaining a healthy weight is almost impossible without getting stress eating under control. That is why I try to help people see the importance of reducing stress.

So what is the best way to start participating in an exercise program that will help reduce stress?

  1. Exercise in an environment that is calmer and quieter. Skip the gym workout and look for an exercise space that can help you increase your calm.
  2. Practice health-based exercises such as The Decompression, The Leg Lengthener and The Good Morning that will help strengthen your body and relax your mind.
  3. Use visualization and breathing to help stimulate endorphin release and reduce cortisol production.
