Fairfax County Police Dog Passes Away
K9 Colt retired in 2016 after serving for six years.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A Fairfax County Police dog has passed away, a year and a half after he retired.
K9 Colt served Fairfax County "with distinction" from January 2010 until July 2016, according to a tweet from the Fairfax County Police Department.
"It is with a heavy heart, we share the news of the sudden loss of one of our retired four legged officers," the tweet reads. "Godspeed Colt, and thank you for your service to Fairfax County."
