Fairfax Police Have Kids Tell Adults How to Play Pokemon Go [VIDEO]

Police want locals to stay safe while playing the popular mobile game, and had local kids explain how.

RESTON, VA — Despite recent frustrations with the game, Pokemon Go's popularity shows no signs of subsiding anytime soon, and local police are still concerned about people acting unsafely while playing the game. That's why the Fairfax County Police Department recently released the below video "Pokemon Go Safety Tips From Kids," which featured interviews with children informing both adults and kids the safest way to enjoy the game.

In the video, a number of local kids give solid advice to gamers, including to play with an adult and in groups, and not to play in areas where the shouldn't be -- advice adults should also be listening to.

"You shouldn't play on any restricted areas or on other people's property," said one boy, while another added that "busiest streets, train tracks, stuff like that" should be avoided.

Police also want people to stay alert while they're playing the game rather than wandering around with their faces glued to their phones.

"If you don't look up you can run into a tree, walk off a cliff, run into the street, get pulled over by police," one girl said.

Also, try to avoid playing at night.

"You shouldn't play at night because you can't see cars coming," one girl noted helpfully.

And adults: please, please don't do this one extremely dangerous thing.

"Adults shouldn't be driving while they're playing," said a boy.
