Fatal Shooting Of Dog In Reston Under Investigation: Police
The body of a dog with a gunshot wound was found Thursday morning along a Reston walking trail.

RESTON, VA — Fairfax County Police officers from the Reston District Station are investigating the fatal shooting of a dog, according to the weekly crime report.
Around 7:48 a.m., a deceased dog was found near a walking trail in the 2200 block of Cocquina Drive. The dog apparently died from a gunshot wound, according to police. Investigating the scene, officers found cartridge casings.
Detectives and officers from FCPD's Animal Protection Police are actively investigating this case.
