Forecast: Weather Smorgasbord Heading to Northern Virginia
Reston could see a variety of weather from Thursday morning into the weekend, according to the forecast.

Springtime’s debut is continuing its bumpy course, with Mother Nature delivering everything from fog and a possible thunderstorm to balmy to freezing temperatures to Northern Virginia from Thursday to Saturday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
Here’s the rundown, from the NWS forecast:

- Thursday morning: Fog potential before 10 a.m., with temperatures hitting into the mid-70s.
- Thursday night: Potential for a thunderstorm with wind gusts up to 31 MPH; 60 percent chance of rain, up to a half-inch possible
- Friday: Partly sunny, with highs in the mid-50s; temperatures plunge below freezing to 31 degrees.
- Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 41 degrees; temperatures take an even bigger plunge into the 20s Saturday night.
