Four Teens Threaten to Rob Woman at Knifepoint in Reston

Fairfax County Police say that four teens tried to rob a woman and displayed a knife when a passerby tried to intervene Wednesday afternoon in Reston.
The incident took place Wednesday at 3:20 p.m. at 2310 Hunters Woods Plaza, police say.
That’s where four teens attempted to rob a woman of her purse as she was walking, according to police. A nearby citizen saw the commotion and attempted to help her.

One of the teens displayed a small knife and threatened him, then they fled the area on foot, according to FCPD. They did not obtain the victim’s purse.
The suspects were described as black and in their teens, police said. Some of them had backpacks and one wore a black T-shirt and blue jeans. The victims did not require medical attention.
