Gourmet Dog Treat Bakery Opening Location in Reston

RESTON, VA — Arlington pet goodie shop Dogma Bakery is going to be opening up a location at Lake Anne in Reston very soon.

They will be opening in the space vacated by PetMAC Pet Nutrition Center at 11412 Washington Plaza West at Lake Anne Plaza. The location is "kind of unofficially open and not totally ready yet as we waited for PetMac to close," Dogma Bakery said in a Jan. 4 Facebook post.

All three employees from PetMAC will join Dogma.

The original shop is located in the Village at Shirlington in Arlington at 2772 S. Arlington Mill Drive. It opened in November 2000 and offers fresh pet treats baked in the store.

"Dogma is committed to providing the local community with a unique selection of products and outstanding customer service that you may not find in a 'big box' store," their website states. "We strive to be a community resource and advocate for responsible breeding and for animal adoption. We support many local rescues and our local shelter by holding animal adoptions and fundraisers on a regular basis."

The location in Reston will be focused on grooming, but it will also offer treats.
