Great Summer Programs Still Available!

A few months ago I left a Forestville ES PTA meeting at our school and had the opportunity of talking to a parent who told me that she was going to start a non-profit science program for kids.  Her name was Nuria Gabitova.  Nuria came from a high-powered corporate background but like so many of us she left her career to attend to the needs of her two children.  When I heard the scale of what Nuria envisioned for the program I did not think that she would be able to pull it off before school I ended, I was wrong!  I am sure that Nuria does not sleep because she just finished her first session of camp with incredible results.  Kids wanted to stay longer than the 9:00-4:00 day.  Parents scrambled to sign kids up for future sessions.  Nuria’s hard work and foresight paid off!  Nuria has over 15 years of experience managing and launching large-scale programs in international development, high tech, and telecommunications industries. Nuria’s passion for education, continuous improvement and innovation, and her vision for reinventing the traditional education approach, has resulted in the creation of the i School for the Future.  Camp is described as a place where “children will take on identities of explorers, scientists, artists, and business owners, as they learn, experiment, and create.   Through hands-on STEAM-oriented projects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), kids will experience things and figure out what works, what doesn’t and why.”  Want to find out more or sign up for these amazing camps?  Check out, www.ischoolforthefuture.org, you will be just as amazed as I am!
