Gunshots At Reston Village Center In Attempted Robbery: Police
A group of five men reportedly tried to rob a man at Hunter Woods Village Center.

RESTON, VA -- Police are searching for suspects after a group of five men tried to rob a man at Hunter Woods Village Center earlier this week, and then fired a gun when he fled.
A Reston resident called police at around 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday and said several young men tried to rob him in the 2200 block of Hunter Woods Plaza, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.
"The group told him to stop and asked him for money," the report states. "The resident took off running after one of the men implied he had a gun. He heard two gunshots and saw the group running in the opposite direction."

Police described the group as five Hispanic men who are at least 18 years of age. Police found multiple shell casings and a bullet entered another resident's home, the report states.
No one was injured, and no valuables were stolen.
