GWYNETH, HAS SHE UNKNOWINGLY “UNCOUPLED” FROM FITNESS?

You’ve probably heard the phrase “uncoupling” by now. In case not, it is a new age theory of getting a divorce without all the drama. Made all the more popular by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

As well as being a huge celebrity of film, Paltrow is known for her devotion to her children and her business GOOP, but she has also found celebrity from her devotion to keeping fit and remaining super trim and slim.

To those of us who make a career out of keeping fit and healthy, we know the importance of keeping motivated and moving forward with our fitness regimes. We also know the worst thing you can do is to get stuck in a rut and never change your work out modality or routine. This seems to be where Gwyneth has come unstuck (so to speak).

Her regime is a military one, there is no room for flexibility. Following the routines set by celebrity trainer Tracey Anderson, Gwyneth follows the same techniques day in day out. While this may work for Gwyneth, it certainly isn’t the best way for the majority of us to get fit.

Firstly, lifting only a maximum of 3 lbs in any work out just isn’t going to make a difference to the muscular tone of most of us, some of us may have far more weight to shift or we may have different goals for our muscle building. So stating that lifting more than 3lbs will make you big and bulky is simply the wrong way to go.
