Here's How to Recycle Your Christmas Tree in Reston
It's after New Year's, so it's time to ditch your Christmas tree, and here's a way to do it responsibly.

RESTON, VA — The holidays are over, and the time has come to toss that Christmas tree before it becomes a fire hazard -- or at least before it becomes a painful reminder that it's back to the daily grind.
But before tossing it in the dumpster, consider a more environmentally friendly way of disposing of your (real) Christmas tree. Here's what you can do in Reston.
Fairfax County workers will be collecting Christmas trees for recycling when placed curbside on regular yard waste pickup days in the first two weeks of January. You must strip the trees clean of any ornaments, stands, bags or other foreign objects.
