HERNDON Band invited to Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade

It’s a big year for the Herndon High School Band: The Pride of Herndon which is celebrating its 75th year as a band. Amidst the celebrations, the band received the invitation to be Virginia’s ambassador at the 2023 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade. This march pays respect to the Pearl Harbor survivors, veterans, and active duty military and takes place each year in Hawaii on the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7th.
The Herndon High School and the Band PTSA goal is for every student to be able to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime event. To achieve this goal, The Pride of Herndon will have a lot of fundraising events and several campaigns lined up throughout the year and is asking the community for their help.
One of their biggest fundraising events is the Community Yard Sale event on April 30th at Herndon High School. The community can help The Pride of Herndon by reserving a spot to sell items at the Community Yard sale organized by Herndon High School Band on 30th April.
