Herndon Man Accused Of DWI In Reston Crash

Fairfax County Police charged a Herndon man with driving while intoxicated and destruction of property Monday night.

RESTON, VA — Fairfax County Police arrested a Herndon man Monday night in connection with a single-vehicle crash in Reston, according to 2nd Lt. Erica Webb of FCPD's Public Affairs Bureau.

Public safety personnel responded around 8:27 p.m., for the report of a crash near the intersection of Reston Avenue and Wiehle Avenue.

FCPD arrested Brandon Jensen, 35, of Herndon, and charged him with driving while intoxicated and destruction of property, according to Webb. No injuries were reported.

Neil Chatterjee of Reston was in the vicinity of the crash around 8:45 p.m., and took photos, which he posted later on Facebook.

"One of my neighbors followed the trail of leaked fuel and found the crashed vehicle and driver after he hit a mailbox up the street," Chatterjee said.
