High-Speed Chase In Reston: Police
Four people were charged after the incident Wednesday night.
RESTON, VA -- Four men face charges after a high-speed chase in Reston Wednesday night, police say.
An officer on patrol in the area of Sunrise Valley Drive and Fairfax County Parkway at around 8:35 p.m. "noticed a traffic violation" and tried to stop the car, but it drove off at a high rate of speed, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.
The car eventually stopped in the 2000 block of Cocquina Drive, and the driver -- 38-year-old Douglas Arriola Acosta of Centreville -- ran away but was soon arrested after a K-9 dog chased him and then bit him, the report states.
