Hillary Clinton Opens New Campaign Office in Reston

RESTON, VA — A new campaign office for Hillary Clinton is opening in Reston Tuesday. Local leaders, supporters and volunteers will be gathering at the new office on Lake Anne to talk about "Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine's new plan to support small businesses, including Virginia's more than 680,000 small businesses and 1.5 million employees," according to a statement.

The office is located at 1635 Wasington Plaza N, and the grand opening is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m.

"The Reston office will serve as a hub for organizing activity to allow supporters to mobilize and help elect Hillary Clinton, Tim Kaine and Democrats up and down the ballot on November 8," the statement adds. "Organizers and volunteers will host phone banks, organizing meetings, and canvasses from the office as well as from supporters' homes across the Commonwealth."

Patch.com first reported two weeks ago that the Hillary Clinton campaign was planning on opening an office on Lake Anne. The Democratic nominee for president has been opening up new offices nationwide as the push for the presidency begins to heat up now that the conventions are over and the candidates are set. She currently holds a strong lead over Republican nominee Donald Trump in most polls.
