Homicide Detectives Seek Answers In Reston Shooting
Fairfax County homicide detectives canvassed a Reston neighborhood Wednesday, seeking information about a March 11 fatal shooting.

RESTON, VA — Detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department's Major Crimes Bureau were knocking on doors in Reston Wednesday seeking information about a recent fatal shooting in the area, according to a post on FCPD's Twitter account.
On March 11, officers responded to the report of gunshots in the 2200 block of Winterthur Court. They found 40-year-old Santos Antonio Trejo at the entrance of an apartment building, suffering from a gunshot wound. Rescue personnel pronounced Trejo dead on the scene.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later performed an autopsy and ruled Trejo's death a homicide.

A woman also received non-life-threatening injuries at the scene, according to police.

Anyone who provides an anonymous tip that leads to an arrest is eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.
