Huge Mess In Reston (Photos)
The epic windstorm that rolled through our area Friday and Saturday caused some immense damage.

RESTON, VA -- That was quite a windstorm on Friday and Saturday, and it caused a big mess in Reston -- one that will take at least a month to clean up. You can see some extraordinary photos embedded below.
The Reston Association is working to remove trees in the area that have fallen as a result of the windstorm, and it will take weeks to totally clear the area.
"The association is asking members to report any downed trees that pose a safety threat," RA said in a statement. "However, because of the vast amount of damage done by the storm, and the amount of work involved with cleaning up, CSF crews cannot at this time remove trees that are on the ground but do not block roads or pathways and aren't considered a safety hazard."

PLEASE STAY OFF PATHWAYS: Staff have encountered many large fallen trees and limbs. These high winds are creating extremely hazardous conditions, walking on the pathways can be life-threatening at this time. #windmageddon #noreaster #Reston pic.twitter.com/XcQTWPE3hq

The people at Capitol Building Supply are our heroes! A huge thanks to them for stopping to lend a helping hand on Reston Parkway, clearing a lane of traffic so cars can safely pass through. #Windmaggedon pic.twitter.com/9hJ5GffUbY
