Huge New Restaurant Opens In Reston

Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant is now open, more than two years after they were announced as a tenant at RTC West.

RESTON, VA — Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant has just opened around the corner from Reston Town Center after a ribbon-cutting on Saturday night.

Around Reston, a quarterly magazine, reported that the restaurant opened Aug. 28, and posted pictures from the Saturday ribbon-cutting featuring a number of local dignitaries, including Va. Delegate Ken Plum.

The restaurant spans 9,365 square feet and can accommodate up to 196 guests. It is located at 12130 Sunset Hills Road in a development known as RTC West.

The Fairfax County Times reported that the restaurant would result in 200 new jobs, prompting the restaurant to set up a temporary hiring office last month.

This is the 30th Cooper's Hawk location in eight states. There are also locations in Richmond and Ashburn.

"Cooper's Hawk has created a modern, casual dining experience with warm service and a menu created with its own handcrafted wines in mind," according to their website. "The menu features unique dishes with bin numbers listed next to each item on the menu, guiding guests to their selection’s perfect wine match. Signature dishes include: Ahi Tuna Tacos, Red Wine Braised Short Ribs, Shrimp Campanelle, and Ooey Gooey Butter Cake."
