Huge Number Of Vehicle Thefts Reported In Reston District Station

RESTON, VA -- Police are investigating a huge number of vehicle thefts in the Reston District Station recently.

Fairfax County Police listed 24 thefts from vehicles in the district in the Feb. 9 police report. The report does not list what dates the thefts were reported.

Police have said in the past the thefts from vehicles are one of the biggest problems in the Reston area and that people should lock their car doors to deter opportunistic burglars.

The majority of the thefts involved stealing parts from the vehicle.
