Hundreds Participated in Good Deeds Day 2014

On April 6, 2014, people all around the D.C. area celebrated Good Deeds Day. It was sponsored by the Jewish Federation and area synagogues.  Caring Kids Cards participated at the Gesher Jewish Day School location.

Good Deeds Day DC was a fabulous celebration in different cities in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C.  Lots of kids and adults came out to participate.

Some of the activities that were there included making pillow cases, packing lunches, making cards and rainbow loom bracelets, and lots more.  All of the items went to great causes, like soup mixes to seniors.  At the beginning when you came you could also donate canned food.

Everyone had lots fun at this great event and they got to help out too!  Kids of all ages showed up to help out the community.

They said, “Thank YOU for joining us today for this International Day of Service because YOU are the best gift anyone could ask for.”
