IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE

Okay, so many of you have been sending me emails over the past few weeks wondering if I’m okay and if I am still writing my fitness articles for the patch??? The answer is emphatically, a Yes and Yes!  You see I have been a bit under the radar as all my spare time (when I am not training my clients or with my family) has been going to a special new project. 

This project hurt initially and I mean painfully hurt.  I just did not have the time for it, but it had to be done.  You see my current website has lasted me over a decade, but the signs were blaring and flashing in my face that the website was in need of a major overhaul and facelift.

So, for the past 2 months we have been hunkered down building out my new Storm Fitness website! And, I am excited to share it with you in next weeks post!  It will offer so much more health and wellness content to our community and functions as a 2014 website should!

I am relieved to know that this massive project is getting ready to launch, but all this left me reflecting on the past 2 months and how painful it was to initially face the fact that

1. A change was needed and

2.  I actually needed to put one foot in front of the other and move forward with it in order to see progress. 

Now I look back and think – gosh, that really wasn’t so bad, why was I overthinking things so much, making it into such a battle with my mind?  

It probably could have been easier, but the truth was it was a journey I needed to go through and when I look back it was a fun one at that...that is, once I got out of my head about it.  

I also learned a lot about myself through the process and grew more as a person, which I always enjoy – isn't that what life is really about in the end anyway?

So much of what I went through doing this project is just like exercise – right!

1. The denial that a change is actually needed and

2. Taking the hardest first step of just dipping your foot into the change

Have you started my healthy jump-start challenge yet? Have you changed up your routine from 2013?  Ask yourself these questions and if you are in denial about it or keep putting it on the back burner, please do me a favor TODAY and just take one step towards change.  

I promise you that you will look back in a few months’ time and feel amazed at all that you have accomplished.  Don’t wish that you could magically just have what you want or be where you want.  Remember it truly is the journey of getting where you desire to be and the hard work put in that is the most rewarding in the end. 

Go out there today and get after it!
