Jewish Holiday Celebration Tuesday at Lake Anne Waterfront
Chanukah Extravaganza celebrates traditional eight-day Jewish holiday, beginning at sundown.
The eight-day Jewish holiday known as Hanukkah or the Festival of Lights begins at sundown Tuesday and it will be celebrated in Reston at the Chanukah Extravaganza at Lake Anne starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Lake Anne Waterfront and the Reston Community Center,1609 Washington Plaza N # A. The event is organized by Chabad of Reston-Herndon.
Participants are asked to bring kosher canned food of all sizes, and add it to the Menorah of Kindness later to be donated to the needy.
The holiday celebration is promised to be jam-packed with activities for the whole family. There will be a giant outdoor food cans menorah which will be donated to feed the homeless, arts and crafts, Chanukah chocolate making, face painting, sizzling latkes, delicious donuts and chocolate gelt and free dreidels.

There will be a special performance by the Chabad Hebrew School.
