Lake Anne Launches Good Neighbor Award, Ceremony Set For April 18
A new Lake Anne award will recognize neighbors whose kindness and service strengthen the community.

RESTON, VA — Lake Anne residents now have a new way to recognize the people who help shape daily life in the neighborhood. A newly launched Lake Anne Good Neighbor Award is seeking nominations for neighbors whose kindness, generosity and day-to-day support strengthen the community.
The award was created to celebrate “the people who make our community feel like home," according to a release. It is intended to honor neighbors who “live Bob’s vision and show up with kindness, lend a hand without being asked, and strengthen the unique spirit of our Neighborhood.”
The award is intended to recognize “the quiet helpers, the everyday problem-solvers, and the neighbors whose generosity uplifts us all," according to the release. It also calls the honor “a simple way to say: Thank you for making Lake Anne brighter, warmer, and better.”
