Layers....and the last gasp of fall....

Winter is definitely on its way.  It was rather nippy today. But I still can't bring myself to put on my heavy winter coats.  Jessica, can you show us some ways that we can dodge the heavy coats for a few more weeks? At least through Thanksgiving?? I'm sure you have some layering tricks up your sleeve that you can share with us.

I'm thinking jeans, boots and layers.  Can you read my mind?

Jill, here is a layered look using our Wardrobe Must Haves and Fall Updates...did I read your mind?

By keeping the layers thin you can still keep your shape and the curves you want as well as create a well proportioned look.

Some layering rules to follow:

1. Keep the first layer a lightweight top -- like this animal print sheath
2. The next layer should be a soft cardigan or sweater, as shown here --this is a great place to add a pop of color or print (if the first layer isn't a print).
3. Then for the last layer I suggest a blazer -- one that gives you shape, or a coat to which you can add a belt -- keep the color neutral.
4. Remember accessories! A scarf, or chunky necklace, a great bag and a great shoe finish the layered look.
