LGBTQ-Themed Books Removed From Fairfax County HS Libraries: Fairfax County Public Schools suspended circulation of two books in the libraries of high schools on Friday after community members complained about the sexual content of the books. Speakers told school board members the books describe pedophilia, but a review of the works shows no such content. MORE.
2. Pfizer Booster Vaccine Doses Offered In Fairfax Health District: After the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended Pfizer booster doses for certain groups of people, the Fairfax County Health Department will start to offer boosters on Tuesday. MORE.

Deadline Nears To Provide Input On Route 50 Changes In Chantilly: Fairfax County residents will have the chance Tuesday to provide feedback about the Virginia Department of Transportation's plans safety and operational improvements to Route 50 (Lee Jackson Memorial Highway) between Stringfellow Road (Route 645) and Route 28 in Chantilly. Prohibited Cow Skins, Dried Beef Seized By Customs At DC Airport: U.S. Customs and Border protection officers seized 110 pounds of cow skins and dried beef that arrived at Washington Dulles International Airport on a Sept. 7 flight from Ethiopia, according to a CBP release. CBP officers discovered the items in the luggage of travelers from Nigeria and Cameroon, respectively. MORE.
